Come for the fun of it!!

Don't forget!!  There are still three weekends left to see the Playhouse's production of James Gooden's farcical play, Upton Abbey!  The Uptons are a British family with all sorts of problems.  How can Giles, the new butler, help solve them all?  Will Delphine ever get to practice her bandages?  Will George be able to write a poem?  Will Lady Felicity ever make contact with the spirits in their house?  Bring a friend and find out!

Remember, you can make your reservations by calling 520-237-9310 or emailing us at thecomedyplayhouse@gmail.com

Simply Austentatious

Jane Austen was a novelist whose books are now lauded for their interpretations and critiques of the English gentry in the early 1800s.  In particular, Austen's works consistently examine the roles of women and their dependence on marriage for social status and financial stability.  Her novels have been adapted into movies and TV miniseries.

The Comedy Playhouse is proud to present Simply Austentatious, a reader's theater crafted by Kristen Keck.  This adaptation will feature short synopses and dialogue from Austen's popular stories, like Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park, and Emma.  If you or someone you know loves Jane Austen, this reader's theater is for you!
This show will run from September 16 through October 2.  Join us for "tea and biscuits" and a whole lot of Jane Austen!

Murder on Vampire Island, or; Fangs for the Memories

From the pen of Pere Summers, The Comedy Playhouse is delighted to bring you Murder on Vampire Island, or; Fangs for the Memories.
A group of washed up actors gather on Vampire Island once again to perform- entertaining summer guests with a week-long Transylvania experience.  As their egos and tempers clash, and newcomers James and Emily try to find their places amongst the seasoned actors, the unthinkable happens; a gruesome murder!
Stranded on the island in a rough storm, how will the actors deal with the murder?  Who committed this crime?  Will the show go on?

This performance will take place from October 7 until November 6.
