34th ANNUAL SUMMER DANCE WORKSHOP 2019

The Ballet Tucson Annual Summer Dance Workshop in cooperation with the University of Arizona School of Dance was established in 1986 to provide the serious dance student the opportunity to train and perform in a professional environment. Housed in the UA dance facility, the intensive workshop offers training for all levels. Curriculum includes junior and senior levels of study of ballet technique, pointe, jazz, and modern dance. Special classes are offered in Russian character dance, stage make-up, classical variations, conditioning, and choreography. Teen/adult classes are also available and are held at the Ballet Arts Studios.
A final performance will be presented at the close of the workshop at the Stevie Eller Dance Theatre. The performance will take place on Saturday, June 22 at 3:30 pm. This performance features all junior and senior program students who have attended the entire workshop.
The faculty consists of Ballet Tucson's outstanding artistic staff and professional dancers. In addition, master teachers are brought in from prestigious national companies to offer students the exposure to broaden the scope of their dance education.
