Eight 10s in Tucson
A New Play Festival
April 25th-May 5th, 2019
Winding Road is pleased to announce this new venture, modeled on the wildly successful 8 Tens @ 8 10-minute play festival in Santa Cruz, California. Eight scripts, submitted by playwrights from around the country, selected and combined to create a unique evening of entertainment - full of comedy, drama, and everything in between.
In the touching comedy Love at the Louvre by Diane Sposito, it's after hours at the museum and Mona and Venus compare notes on career, beauty, pastry and the purpose of art.
Produced throughout the USA, playwright Dianne Sposito's works include Commedia Paradia; Harbledown; Heaven in Your Pocket (official selection, 2008 NYMF); Almost Full Circle at the Guggenheim; When There's a Will, They're Away!; What'll the Neighbors Think?; Love at the Louvre; Hell's Kitchen; and Dream of a Play. She is a two-time winner of the BRIO Award for excellence in playwriting from the Bronx Council on the Arts for Suddenly, Lasagna! and Officials of the Stardust Mission, presented at LAByrinth Theatre Company's Intensive Ensemble, where she was a guest playwright. Her latest work includes three TYA world premieres (2016-2020): Cinderella (love what you wish for), The Sleeping Beauty (a light within) and The Emperor's New Clothes, all with Mark Boergers. Ms. Sposito sits on the Advisory Council for the College of Arts & Sciences at Cardinal Stritch University, and is a member of The Dramatists Guild of America.
