DANSWEST has been teaching high quality dance education in Tucson for over 40 years. Classical Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Modern dance technique is taught in addition to the more stylized forms of contemporary Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Pop Jazz, and Contemporary Jazz.
The Danswest Dance Company is for students that demonstrate exceptional talent and ability in dance whether it be in Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Contemporary, or Musical Theater. A versatile curriculum helps propel each dancer to reach his or her individual dance potential. We strive to help each dancer achieve their own personal dance goals and personal growth in a nurturing environment.
The Company performs over 12 shows per season including the 4th avenue street fairs, Spring Fling, Holiday parties/events, Oktoberfest, Arizona Jazz Showcase, and National Tap Dance Day events in addition to Danswest Company concerts and Recital. We also participate in regional dance competitions. Students are chosen via invitation and/or audition. If you are interested, please contact the studio for more information.
