A powerfully, touching story of a family transformed by the devastation of war timeâ€"one that so many American families are living through today.
An engrossing tale of a son who went away to war as a pampered boy only to return a man of his own, and the emotionally overwhelming effects this has on his mother and father. The family want to love one another, to relive the good old times and build some better ones
together, but they find it profoundly difficult to communicate. They have grown irrevocably apart, and can no longer reconcile the dream and the reality. They want to love one another, but do not know how.
