GUYS & DOLLS………………………..………October 5,6,12,13, 2007 at 7:30pm and October 7,14, 2007 at 2 pm

(Music & Lyrics by Frank Loesser. Book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows). The fabulous universe of Damon Runyon has been turned into a brash and bountiful musical. It is the kind of Musical that makes you say, “ They don’t write them like that anymore”.  Quite possibly they don’t!

RMT is delighted to announce that talented & acclaimed Tucsonan Craig Oldfather, will be returning to Tucson playing the lead role of "Sky Masterson". In addition to Craig's many outstanding performances in Tucson—including SHENANDOAH, MAN OF LAMANCHA ,ANNIE GET YOUR GUN--credits include New York theater and creating and starring for 18 months as  "Enjolras"  (leader of the revolutionary students) in the original San Francisco production of LES MISERALES.

SOUTH PACIFIC…………….…….January 18,19,25 & 26, 2008 at 7:30pm and January 20 & 27, 2008 at 2 pm

(Music by Richard Rodgers. Book and Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II).   Few Musicals in the American Theatre have

aroused the high-hearted expectations of SOUTH PACIFIC…an adaptation of stories by James Michener. The time is a lull during the war in the South Pacific with colorful characters and unforgettable music—“Bali Hai”,“Some Enchanted Evening”, “Nothing Like a Dame”, and many more.

CABARET…………………….…. March 14 &15, 2008 at 7:30pm,and March 15, & 6, 2008 at 2 pm (One weekend only)

(Music by John Kander. Lyrics by Fred Ebb. Book by Joe Masteroff) Based upon the play by John vanDruten and

Christopher Isherwood stories. CABARET is both an engaging plot musical and a spectacular cabaret entertainment. At

first glance it appears bawdy and frivolous—“Willkommen”, “Two Ladies”, but the story scenes show us a contrasting vision….”It Couldn’t Please Me More”, “Married” and of course the title son. Although somewhat racy and raucous, the RMT production will be based upon the original--not the more tawdry 90’s Broadway revival.

New York Theater’s Robyn Lee will reprise her role from RMT’s December ’06 CABARET…of which Tucson critics said the “classy cast gave a wonderful, spirited production” and Robyn “skillfully brought out the subtle nuances of Sally Bowles.”

KISMET…………………………………………………….……….…… May 2,3,9 & 10, 2008 at 7:30 pm and May 4 & 11,2008 at 2 pm

(Music from Alexander Borodin adapted with lyrics by Robert Wright and George Forrest. Book by Charles Lederer and Luther Davis). KISMET is a joyride on a magic carpet about the amorous exploits of a quick-witted rogue and his beautiful daughter and how he goes from beggar to Emir and she becomes the bride of the Caliph himself-all in the span of one day!  The musical is embellished with hit songs “Stranger in Paradise”, “Baubles, Bangles and Beads”, “And This Is My Beloved”-- and that’s just for starters!
