Short Film: STRIPPING ASPHALT

Premise:

A young woman tries to recall how her relationship met such a violent end – after such an innocent beginning – when an officer questions her at the scene of the crime.

 

Characters:

Aubrey.  Mid to late twenties.  Both sensitive and flippant.  Educated artist.  Engages in an intense relationship that doesn’t really honor her worth.  Sees her connection with him as a way to understand things she’s never been exposed to before. 

 

Preston.  Early thirties.  Both charming and volatile.  Intelligent ex-addict.  Sees Aubrey’s love for him as a chance at redemption.  Does things to sabotage it, but can’t handle when it’s slipping away.
