The Catalina Players is looking for

     Joe Chavez –50's to 70s.

This character is one of the leads for our January comedy production of

The King of the Kosher Grocer.*

This character would have been born in Mexico but raised in Texas, so he speaks with a Mexican accent.

He is feisty, lovable and very sensitive.

We are looking for you Joe Chavez.

Where are you?

Call the director Ed Ortiz for any questions, or to audition at 520-730-4775 or Priscilla Marquez

*This warm-hearted comedy about 3 diverse men shows hope for the races and generations. Jamar goes to college and works for Izzy Silver’s market, formerly a kosher deli now selling collard greens and tortillas. After 50 years, city inspectors are threatening to close Silvers’ Market, but Jamar, Billy & Chavez scheme to defy the bureaucrats and bring the store to profitability. Nostalgic humor and the unrelenting sarcasm of familiar friends highlight this comedy about a time when human values supersede monetary concerns.
