    RMT AUDITIONS ANNOUNCED 

 

      Open Auditions for Redondo Music Theater’s January, 2008 production of SOUTH PACIFIC  are set for Monday, November 26th

and Wednesday, November 28th, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Randolph Park Recreation Center, 200 S. Alvernon (off Broadway).

Call-backs-are Thursday, November 29th at 6:30 p.m. Plenty of off-street parking is available at the complex.

 

For information, call RMT at 520-615-1130. No appointments will be made. RMT is a Tucson-based not-for-profit theatre company.

 

    Performances are January 17 (preview, 18,19 ,20 (matinee) and 25,26,27(matinee) in the Tucson Convention Center (TCC) Leo Rich Theatre, 260 South Court Ave. Intense rehearsals (location to be announced) begin Sunday December  9, through December 10; break for Christmas/New Years; then resume January 2 through January 16,  2008. No Saturdays. Rehearsal times will not use all actors each night.

 

All roles are open – except for “Bloody Mary”, which will be portrayed by Tucson actress, Elinor Sherman.

 

Needing:

 

Emile de Becque – mature French painter – and his two Eurasian children (boy & girl (look) under 8 years.)

Children’s 1^st rehearsal will be after January 2^nd.

 

Nelly Forbush –Navy nurse/Ensign – plus her nursing staff—various ages/types—all sing.

The role of Liat will be doubled from a nurse.

 

Sailors/Marines – various ages (18 – up) / types/ethnicities – for enlisted men, all grades – all sing.

 

The officers – Captain, Commander (no singing) and Marine 1st Lt Cable (tenor) .

 

 

Singers bring sheet music in the proper key (no rock), and photos/and resume (unless already in our files).  There is minimal dance.

 

Hal Hundley is the Producer-Director.
