Santa Cruz Catholic School musical "Make a Difference" presented by the Advanced Choir.

WHAT: The musical is one act, taking place in a classroom.  The students are trying to decide what to do for their next service project when one boy questions why they should do anything at all. Through music and acting the students come up with reasons that would encourage anyone to go out and make a difference. The upbeat and inspiring music has a positive message about serving the community and making a difference in the world.

WHO: Santa Cruz choir students range from 4th through 7th grade. They have practiced twice a week for two hours at a time since early October learning choreography and staging. They began learning the music in September. For most of the students, this is their first stage production.  A couple students have been involved with other choirs and music groups such as the Tucson Girls Chorus, mariachi groups and folclorico groups.

WHEN: Opening night is Thursday at 7PM in the Carmelite hall behind Santa Cruz Church at 1201 S. 6th Ave. (On the South West corner of 22ed and 6th Ave)

Performances also take place on Saturday at 7PM and Sunday at 3PM.

Tickets are $3 for adults, $1 for Santa Cruz students and children 12 & under.

WHY: The ticket sales will be used to purchase a new curtain for the stage in the cafeteria, which currently has none.
