AUDITION FOR PUBLIC PLAY READING

Lyric Arts (formerly Coyote Ramblers) is casting for a new full-length play by an award-winning author, to be presented Sunday May 17th, at Casa Libre on 4th Avenue, at 2pm.

Seeking experienced local actors with a passion for theater and creating new works.  Three rehearsals are required during the week immediately prior the public reading.

This play will have a full production locally next autumn at a local theater venue.

                                             CHARACTERS

Eddie - early 30's, an inventor, desperate to "make it" with his ideas - rough-edged, high-energy, endearing yet head-strong.

Alita - early 30's, Eddie's wife, a singer, questioning how much she wants to "make it" with her music over starting a family.

Leonardo Da Vinci - middle 50's to 60, 15th Century inventor/ painter, a wise-fool apparition in Eddie's mind.

Quentin Herubay - mid 40's, a potential investor.

Doubling Parts:

Sean / Debt Collector - mid 20's - Eddie's son / also a collector.

Nurse / C.J. Harper / Mrs. Zarmon's Voice - middle 30's.

The director will contact those parties of interest.  Script sides for characters will be available to them.  For any questions, contact via email or, 682-3224.  The director is looking to solidify the cast as soon as possible.

No pay for the public reading, BUT those participating will receive a quality presentation, with food, and will be given first consideration for next autumn's full production, which WILL BE paying actors at that time.
