Desert Voices Performs Final Concerts of 2008/2009 Season

Desert Voices brings a phenomenal concert season to a close on April 18 at
7:30 p.m. and 19 at 3:00 p.m., at Pima Community College Center for the
Arts, Proscenium Theatre (West Campus). "Out and Proud" celebrates 20 years
of community performances with a retrospective featuring musical selections
that commemorate the heritage, history, and so many of the inspiring moments
that have become hallmarks of all Desert Voices concerts. Special guest
star, Namoli Brennet, makes a return engagement in what has become a
season-long celebration of 20 glorious years as Arizona's Premiere GLBTS
Chorus.

Some of the selections for this season's final concerts will pay a musical
tribute to GALA, the international association of LGBT Choruses. Founded in
1982, GALA fosters artistic and organizational development through a wide
variety of programs and services for over 170 member choruses and almost
10,000 vocalists worldwide.

Tickets are still available but selling quickly as this will be the last
opportunity to participate in what has been a tremendous concert season. As
an added special gift to our audiences, Desert Voices is offering an
additional 20% discount on tickets for groups of 10 or more. Just make your
reservations before April 18. For ticket information, please call (520)
791-9662 or visit our website: www.desertvoices.org. Tickets may also be
purchased at Antigone Books, 411 N. 4th Ave; or from your favorite chorus
member.

Desert Voices is Arizona's premier GLBTS Chorus. All proceeds from our
events help sustain Desert Voices' continuing mission of uniting our
community through music and providing a voice for all. Each year Desert
Voices, under the artistic direction of Chris Tackett, extends a musical
invitation to our community to celebrate programs that inspire while
providing laughter and lasting memories.
