Subject: Actress needed for THE PILLOWMAN
E+A Productions, LLC, a new theatre production company, is searching for an actress 16-30, to portray the role of GIRL in Martin McDonagh's THE PILLOWMAN. Performances run from November 20th through December 6th, at ZUZI Theatre (738 N. 5th Ave.).
"An especially dark black comedy. With echoes of Stoppard, Kafka, and the Brothers Grimm, THE PILLOWMAN centers on a writer in an unnamed totalitarian state who is being interrogated about the gruesome content of his short stories and their similarities to a series of child murders. The result is an urgent work of theatrical bravura and an unflinching examination of the very nature and purpose of art."
Rehearsals have just gotten underway. Please note that performances run through Thanksgiving weekend, though there is no performance on Thanksgiving day. All shows run Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30PM, and Sundays at 6PM.
