WHAT'S HAPPENING WITH BATUCAXÉ THIS WEEK
Our Tucson weather may be cooling down, but the Batucaxé Community Group is ready to heat things up again at the All Souls Procession Benefit Fundraiser this Saturday! With unique, vibrant Afro-Brazilian-flavored rhythms, songs and dancing, Batucaxé joins Flam Chen, Tucson Puppet Works, Parasol Project, Ensphere and Not Breathing to raise money for the All Souls Procession, an unforgettable annual cultural event in the Tucson community.

What:            All Souls Procession Benefit Fundraiser
Time:             Doors open at 10:00pm - Batucaxé is scheduled to go on at 11:00pm.
Location:      Nimbus Brewery, 3850 E 44th St # 138, Tucson AZ 85713 (map)
Admission:   $10.00; $8.00 in costume

Friday, November 20, 2009 - The Batucaxé Community Group performs at Taiko Plus event, Eller Theater on the UA Campus (map), 8pm.
Sunday, November 22, 2009 - The Batucaxé Community Group performs at Taiko Plus event, Eller Theater on the UA Campus (map), 8pm.
Saturday, November 28, 2009 - The Batucaxé Performance Group performs at Abounding Grace, 2450 S. Kolb Tucson AZ (map), the newest venue of LAVA (Live Acoustic Venue Association), 7-9pm. Admission is $10.00.

ONGOING EVENTS AND MEMBERSHIP
Every Sunday - Afro-Brazilian Dance Classes with LIVE Drumming by Batucaxé, 5:00-6:15pm at the Rhythm Industry Performance Factory 1013 S. Tyndall Ave. (map). $12 Walk-in (always welcome) or prepay $40 for 4 classes (use any time). No experience needed. For more information, email dance@batucaxe.org.

Every Tuesday - Batucaxé Drum and Dance Rehearsal, 6:30-8:30pm at the Rhythm Industry Performance Factory 1013 S. Tyndall Ave. (map). We invite you behind the scenes to see and hear what makes us love what we do. Batucaxé (pronounced bah-too-cah-SHEH), the winner of the 2009 Tucson Tammies Award in the World Music Category, is a non-profit drum and dance ensemble and school in Tucson, Arizona.
