Subject: LAST CHANCE: Theater for kids and Theatre for Youth at ZUZI (Corrections)

 

This week is the last chance to register for both Theater for Kids and Theater for Youth. If your kids, tweens, or teens are interested in acting, developing self confidence, working with others to explore creatively and physically, being on stage or just playing around check out these classes. (ages are suggested guidelines, not strict boundaries and can be flexible)

 

Theater for Kids    *NEW*   Thursday 3:30 - 4:20

This class focuses on imagination and “physicalization.”  Each class begins and ends with a physical and vocal warm up and focus exercises. This class moves quickly from game to game engaging a young group of kids through imaginative work. We work in groups and pairs learning games that build coordination, focus and imagination as well as ensemble skills. This class culminates in a sharing of the types of games we play in class.

              Ages 3-7

 

Theatre for Youth   *NEW*   Thursday 4:30 - 5:20
This class engages the mind, body and creative spirit.  Each class begins and ends with a physical and vocal warm up and focusing exercises. In the first portion of the classes we play theatre games building creativity and creating a sense of ensemble as well as individual confidence. The class then reads a story identifying reoccurring imagery and themes. We explore ways to embody and recreate those concepts through our movement and words. The class culminates with an optional presentation for family and friends of the piece we have built together.

Ages 7-12
