The Mayan calendar ends in 2012. Hurricane Sandy crashed into the east coast, shutting down the stock market for the first time since 9/11. Earthquakes and Frankenstorms. Will all the votes in Arizona be counted? The end is near. For Penelope that is – it's Odyssey Storytelling founder Penelope Starr's last show as producer. It's the end of the world as we know it, and we feel fine! Listen to six people tell you how their worlds were transformed.

Six storytellers tell true, personal stories on the theme without notes.

Storytellers: Fitness Diva, Deitrich Benjamin; Speech and Language Pathologist, Nancy Mayginnes; artist, Simon Donovan; Religious and Cultural Education Coordinator, Lori Riegel; Odyssey founder, Penelope Starr and more!

Since 2004, Odyssey Storytelling has marched forth entertaining, inspiring and enlightening Tucson through stories from regular folks like you. Get involved as a teller or a listening—stories that are not heard are not stories. All ages are invited, but stories are never censored.

"The great listeners live blessed lives, because they are surrounded by people under the influence of their listening - people experiencing a fundamental form of connection with others, people whose creativity

and humanity have been invited to emerge."

~ Doug Lipman, The Storytelling Coach

Note that there is road construction on 4th Ave and on Congress so plan your travels accordingly.

GOT STORIES?

To submit your story for consideration, send us a one paragraph synopsis of your story and a brief bio about you.

The themes are meant to be interpreted from a broad range of perspectives. If you are shy about telling a story, we give lots of support and helpful hints. There is a rehearsal a week before the event to run through the stories, get feedback, meet the other storytellers and enjoy some munchies. More themes coming up:
