Subject: OLD PUEBLO PLAYWRIGHTS (OPP) - OPEN CALL Auditions

 

OPP has been part of Tucson's theater scene for over 28 years, offering creative writers  a place to meet with other creative sorts to write and develop new scripts for potential theatrical production. Members write plays and present them (in the form of readings). These creative pieces are then discussed in an open forum. The purpose is to help playwrights to further develop their works. 

 

Each Spring, OPP has presented a New Play Festival, and each Fall, another event, Play-in-a-Day, where writers gather to write 10-minute plays overnight, to be cast, directed and performed, the next evening. This year, due to an overwhelming number of great written scripts, OPP has added a SECOND FALL New Play Festival, to be presented October 29 thru November 1, 2015, at the  Temple of Music and Art's Cabaret Theatre, 330 S. Scott. 

 

These exciting new plays will be presented as staged readings(script in hand). In order to show them effectively, of course, they need actors of ALL AGES So……

7:00 P. M. SHARP!

 

This year's WRITERS include: Sydney Flynn (Possibilities) , Gavin Kaynor(Missionary Positions), Sheldon Metz(Prisoner of Revolution); and, Dave Sewell (The Tarnished Toad). 

 

The DIRECTORS will be: Vince Flynn, Sheldon Metz, John Vornholt and 

 

ACTORS should prepare 1 minute dramatic and 1 minute comedic monologues.
