CALL FOR CHOREOGRAPHERS: NO FRILLS
Showcase your work in a professional dance theater for a new audience!
Showings will be Friday & Saturday, March 4th & 5th.
Application deadline is Friday, February 12th
For 16 years, ZUZI! Dance's No Frills has been a venue for local choreographers to show new work or work in progress. No Frills has been described as an open mic for dance and is a unique opportunity to showcase work and perform in a relaxed setting. As the name suggests, there really are no frills.....no fancy lights, no fancy sets.....just dancers (but not just dancers!), choreographers, experimentation, and a great show.
The Friday March 4th 7:30pm performance will be our No Frills Youth Showcase, featuring youth performers and choreographers. The Saturday, March 5th performance will be our No Frills Adult Showcase, an adult choreographic performance of experiment and investigation where local choreographers are invited to show new work and works in progress. This show will truly be about the process, you do not have to have a finished product to show your work.
If you are interested in showcasing work, please contact zuzisphere@gmail.com, Attn: "No Frills" or call (520) 629-0237. If you are unsure which performance is most appropriate for your choreography, we will help you figure it out.
* The program will be determined on a first-come-first-served basis, so please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to show work.
* We are accepting 20 dances of up to 5 minute in length performance
* There is a $25.00 entrance fee to cover the costs of programming, administration and technical requirements to guarantee your participation.
Please extend this invitation to anyone you think might be interested. https://www.facebook.com/events/539913566183902/.
