Dance Class with Esteban Returns!
Join us this Sunday, September 11th 4:00 PM!
Esteban is fresh back from California Brazil Camp, where he studied with teachers such as Kimberly Miguel Mullen and Danielle Lima.

This workshop will feature Rio style samba including samba no pe as well as the "Malandro" style. Both men and women are encouraged to come, and no experience needed!

Rosangela Returns!

ROSANGELA SILVESTRE RESIDENCY - FALL 2016

Beginning on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th 7:00 PM ORIXA INSPIRED DANCE at MOVEMENT CULTURE!

Rosangela Silvestre returns for a fall residency, and will be joined by lead drummer and student of Jorge Alabe, MARK MACHINA along with Ivory Coast's Solidarte Sympa for an amazing fusion of Orixa inspired rhythms.

WED 9/21 - Silvestre Technique - exact time and location to be finalized
THU 9/22 - 7 PM - Orixa Inspired Movement at Movement Culture
FRI 9/23 - Orixa Inspired Movement - exact time and location to be finalized
SAT 9/24 - Silvestre Technique with Artifact
SUN 9/24 Orixa Inspired Movement and Silvestre Technique at Rhythm Industry

Mission
Sol Axé (pronounced, Sol – ah –SHAY) a project under Many Mouths One Stomach, is a nonprofit drum and dance community in Tucson, Arizona. Inspired by the music of Brazil, Sol Axe features the music of many traditions from Brazil, the African Diaspora, and the World. Our intention is to inspire creativity, inclusiveness, community solidarity, and collective JOY, through lessons and classes, outreach programs, workshops, and high energy performances. We collaborate with individuals and groups in Tucson, the nation, and around the globe, bringing the opportunity for artistic expression to all.
