Production Title: "Season of the Witch: The Last Sacrifice"

Production Length: Non-Union, Ultra Low Budget Feature Film

Production Location: Tubac, AZ

Shooting dates: TBD (10 days total: split between December 2019 and March 2020)

Compensation: $150/Day + Gas stipend ($20/Day), Food, Copy, Credit (includes IMDb)

Filming details: The tone and concept for the film was inspired by the Director's love of films from the 1940s particularly the work of Ingmar Bergman and Carl Dreyer. The film will be shot in dramatic Black and White.

STORY SYNOPSIS:

Present day in a small village in America. An impending invasion by unseen and unknown forces. There has been no gas and no cellular connection for a year. Into this scene of fear and paranoia, a stranger appeared a year ago. A Young Woman with no memory of her past. The Villagers think she is strange and regard her with suspicion. The rumors & lies about the woman grow. Soon the Villagers are calling her a "witch" and saying that Satan commands her to do evil and she is the cause of their suffering. The Woman is terrified. All she has in the world is the Boy who she believes is her son. She wants the Boy to say she is really his mother. She loves him. She believes that if he can say he loves her she will be saved. The Boy refuses to speak. At the last moment, the Boy, her son, runs to her and speaks for the first time. He calls her his Mommie and begs her not to die. He finally tells her that he loves her. The Woman opens her eyes and is reborn through his love.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:

Carolyn Cavallero is an international award winning filmmaker, with a history of 20 years in the industry. Kicking off her career, she teamed up with Russian director Sergei Bodrov (Academy Award Nominee for "Prisoner of the Mountains" and "Mongol"), writing and co-directing the Russian film "I Wanted To See Angels", which had International distribution and was featured at the Telluride Film Festival. In partnership with Bodrov, she wrote screenplays for Samuel Goldwyn Films, Walden Media, Pandora Films Germany and Tengri Productions Kazachstan as well as being Associate Producer on the Oscar nominated film "Prisoner of the Mountains".
