Casting Call For The Community Players Production of                                   "Ellen Craft:  Running a Thousand Miles For Freedom"

The Community Players will be holding auditions for several small, yet significant roles in its

World Premier production of E. Reid Gilbert's new play, Ellen Craft:  Running a Thousand Miles

For Freedom.  The play is based on the struggles of Ellen and William Craft, and their journey

northward from Georgia, to reach the land of the free.  A powerful, yet poignant account of

the couples desire to be free from the chains of slavery and the chances they are willing to take

to reach their dream.

We are looking for one adult female actress, 18-30 years old and one adult male actor, any age to fill

minor, yet very significant roles.  The play has many different scenes and many different roles,

but no matter the size, each role plays an important part in the overall story.   The rehearsal schedule

is set up so that actors need only be at rehearsal on nights their scenes are being worked on.  That

will change once we are into full run throughs of the show and that date will be given to you if

cast.  Show dates are November 1-17, with shows on Friday and Saturdays at 7:30 and Sundays at 2:00.

Auditions are being held on Wednesday 10/9 and Thursday 10/10 at 5:30pm.

If interested in auditioning please call Edward Young at 520-345-7578 for audition location address and

to receive audition sides.

We hope to see you there.
