When daughter Lilly comes home for Christmas break, she brings with her a convert's zeal for social justice that her family finds amusing, and then admirable... at first. But when her demands escalate, it throws the family into Christmas chaos, with the life of the family's beloved golden retriever hanging in the balance! A 21st century family comedy about first world problems, liberal guilt, and surviving the holidays.

Winding Road's production of local playwright Monica Bauer's Christmas Break is directed by ensemble member Samantha Severson. The cast features  Winding Road Artistic Director Maria Caprile, ensemble member Tony Caprile and Managing Director Chad Davies along with guest artists Jeffrey Baden, Adrian Encinas and Nathalie Rodriguez.

 

Christmas Break plays at 7:30pm Saturday November 9th and  2:00pm Sunday November 10th at Scoundrel and Scamp Studio Theatre in the Historic Y, 738 N 5th Ave.
