Auditions by Catalina Players....Tucson Dinner Theatre Since 1983
Play: Las Nuevas Tamaleras by Alicia Mena
Audition Date: August 25, 26, 2005
Time: 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Where: Prescott College Tucson Center
2233 E. Speedway Blvd (just west of Tucson Blvd.)
What to bring: 1. Picture & resume if available (we will take your picture if you don't have one)
2. A prepared monologue or cold read from the script available
Needed: 5 Women ages 20 -65, Latina or submerged in the Hispanic culture. A small stipend will be paid.
About the play: Las Nuevas Tamaleras is a fun and sometimes hilarious play about three young Latina women trying to recreate their mothers tamale making traditions. They are helped along on their adventure by the spirited past as they laugh and sometimes disagree on how to make tamales.
