BORDERLANDS THEATER TO PRESENT THE PLAY THE WOMAN WHO FELL FROM THE SKY/ LA
MUJER QUE CAYO DEL CIELO BY VICTOR HUGO RASCON BANDA.
Back by popular demand! This is the true story of Rita Quintero, a Raramuri
(Tarahumara) Indian who is found wandering the streets of Kansas City. When
the local authorities dont understand her language and cant figure out who
she is, Rita is committed to a mental hospital for 12 years. Finally her
identity is discovered by Miguel Angel Giner, a Mexican school teacher. In
order to free Rita, Giner unleashes several lawsuits against the authorities
and hospital responsible for her ordeal. This trilingual production takes
an extraordinary and bold look at cultural insensitivity and its impact on

BORDERLANDS THEATER/EL TEATRO FRONTERIZO INC PRESENTA LA OBRA THE WOMAN WHO
FELL FROM THE SKY/ LA MUJER QUE CAYO DEL CIELO DE VICTOR HUGO RASCON BANDA.
Con la actiz mexicana Luisa Huertas (El Crimen del Padre Amaro).
Regresa a petición popular!
