CALL FOR CAST MEMBERS:  The C.A.S.T. - Clean and Sober Theater is looking for young people to join this dynamic theatre troupe for the 2005-2006 season.  Also auditioning supporting cast members.

… The C.A.S.T. is composed of young people between the ages of 13 and 23 whose lives have been impacted by addiction, either through their own use or that of a family member or friend.

… They undergo intensive training to gain insight into the pressures affecting their addiction and recovery, help create a script, and then take the stage to reveal the progression of the disease, the impact on family members and the challenges of recovery.

… The C.A.S.T. performs at high schools, middle schools, elementary schools, treatment centers, and conferences, educating young people, families, and the professionals that serve them, on issues regarding drug and alcohol use and addictive disease.

… Cast members rehearse 8-20 hours/week throughout the year.

… Cast members perform 1-3 shows per week during the school year, beginning in Fall.

… Cast members are paid for rehearsals and for performances and contracted for a year from July through June.

The C.A.S.T. is a program of Compass Health Care, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which provides alcohol and other drug addiction treatment, prevention, and education programs for all those in need, regardless of their ability to pay.
