Subject: Casting on Friday for FEATURE FILM to be shot this Winter

Hello, I'm writing you to announce an open casting call for 'From a
Distance' (working title) - this will be the only feature film to be
produced this year through the University of Arizona's Senior BFA program.

The film is about a voyeur and his relationship with the woman that he
watches. The more he learns about her, the more he realizes that there is a
true difference between reality and fantasy.

We're excited to announce that we will begin our casting process this
Friday, September 2nd at 4pm. The casting call will be held in the
University of Arizona's "Cottonwood" room in the Student Union (level 4, I
believe). This casting call will last from 4-6pm, and while we would
appreciate it if you could contact us before hand, appointments are not
necessary.

We will be casting for the following key roles:

Guy - looks to be 28-35 years old. Guy is the voyeur - he works in the
classifieds section of a local newspaper and rides the bus to work. Guy
lives alone in a small apartment.

Rose - looks to be 28-40 years old. Rose is a mysterious and beautiful
woman. She works for a major financial firm and is determined to move up
the corporate ladder.

Dan Ioshi - between 25-40 years old. Mr. Ioshi is Guy's boss-in-training
at the Sahara Sun Classifieds. He is new to the company but waits no time
in taking authoritative control when the boss is out of town. (Mr. Ioshi is
written as an Asian-American character, but we're open minded and will
choose based on acting ability)

Vince - between 35-55 years old. Vince owns and operates the bar that Guy
frequents. Vince seems like the kind of guy that would have a ton of cool
life stories - tattoos and/or long hair is a major plus.

Jersey - between 19-30 years old. Jersey works at a local spy shop that
sells tiny surveillance equipment. A scruffy, computer-nerd look could be
pleasing - but we're open minded on this guy.

Priscilla - between 55-70 years old. Priscilla lives in Rose's
neighborhood. She runs into guy every now and then as she walks her dog
around the neighborhood. She a widow, and enjoys bird watching.

-There are quite a few more roles so if you don't see anything that 'fits'
you there but you are still interesting in being a part of the UofA's only
feature film then please contact us or just stop by on Friday.

-For more information, please don't hesitate to contact us at the email
address listed below. We will be holding another casting call - most likely
the following Friday at the same time.

-For a sample of the script, you can refer to our official website for a
downloadable version of the first 10
pages: www.greenless.com/films/fromadistance/fromadistance_sample.pdf
(please note, this is from the first draft, so many things have already
changed, although it is still quite enjoyable in it's earliest stages).

thank you for your time,
Phillip Lybrand
