Subject: Male actor immediately needed for Arizona Onstage Productions one man show and film!

Arizona Onstage Productions - producers of Award winning shows such as Falsettoland, Assassins, Ruthless! And A New Brain, is looking for one male actor, Caucasian, that can play 18-28 -- for a one man show called TALK OF THE TOWN.  This well received production is 75 minutes long.  During and after the run OPEN LENS PRODUCTIONS will be making an independent film to be distributed to film festivals and independent film companies for DVD release.

The show takes place in a small town in Texas in the late 1980s and deals with a 15 year old boy working at the Dairy Queen and dealing with life without a father, dreaming of The Judds -- and coming to terms that he is gay.  There is humor and sadness in the script.  There is a possibility of backside nudity for one brief, dark scene.

This play will have a two weekend, with one Friday 10am school matinee, and run in January - with an additional 4 evenings to shoot footage for the film.  Pay is $800.  TALK will be directed by Artistic Director Kevin Johnson and supervised by playwright Paul-Bonin-Rodriguez.  This production is supported in part by the LGBT and S Alliance Fund.

We need an actor that can handle (or learn) a real Texan accent, as well as having prior major acting experience.  Rehearsals can be worked around the actors personal schedule for the first two weeks.

Please email headshot and resume (or questions) to:

We want to cast this as soon as possible due to press photo shoots for both the stage and film adaptation.  If you do not meet the description of the main character but know of a great actor that does, please do pass this email on.
