Audition Dates: March 8,9 in Tucson

LOGLINE:

Rachel hasn’t left her house since getting left at the altar two months ago but tonight's the night she gets over Mark for good, if she can just deal with these goddam vampires.

ROLES:

RACHEL (female - mid 20s to early 30s) – For the past six years, Rachel lived on her fiancé Mark’s schedule. When she is left at the altar at her wedding day she goes into a deep funk and doesn’t leave her wedding present house out in the middle of the desert for two months. Now she’s going to get over Mark and she’s going to do it by the smartest method around: find somebody else to sleep with. If only it was that easy.

MARK (male - late 20s/early 30s) – Mark’s had a plan his whole life, make the high school varsity basketball team, go to college, meet a girl, go to medical school, get married, raise a family. Only plans went awry when he left his fiancé, Rachel, at the altar and now has to be reminded of it everyday since he took a four year Dermatology residency with her Dad and moved them out to her hometown of Tucson, AZ because of it .

KYLE (male - late 20s/early 30s) – A straight blue collar guy, Kyle’s lived in Tucson his whole life. He got married when he was twenty and has two little girls. He’d be content if the girl of his dreams and best friend, Rachel, hadn’t moved back to their hometown.

THEO (male - late 20s/early 30s) – A good looking Male Nurse who’s just been thrown out of his apartment after breaking up with his latest girlfriend. Now he’s living in the lounge at the hospital and plenty interested in Rachel’s room for rent, or is it just Rachel he’s interested in.

PAUL THE PIZZA GUY (male - 20s/30s) – a slacker pothead who drives a scooter out on his first day as a pizza delivery man. Could be skinny, could be large but must be completely confident in the low effort lifestyle he has chosen.

CASSIE (female - 20s) – A goodie too shoes from the look of it, but just a little too good for comfort.

MOM (female - 50s/60s) – Overbearing mother who wants the best for Rachel and can’t take watching her remain heartbroken any longer.

DAD (male - 50s/60s) – Renowned dermatologist, a stoic man who secretly knows Rachel just needs to get out there and see that there’s still plenty of guys interested in her.

SKATER PUNKS (male - 11-16) – kids on skateboards that you don’t want to mess with.

VAMPIRES (male and female - teens to 20s) – Of The Lost Boys, Twilight pale-goth-hip mode.
