Tucson, Arizona – Pima Community College performing arts department presents the Chorale & College Singers under the direction of Benjamin Sorenson. The concert features the Chorale, a large mixed-voice choir and the College Singers, a smaller mixed-voice choir. Program selections sung by the Chorale include “Hosanna to the Son of David” by Daniel Moe, “Alleluia” by Randall Thompson, “Six Chansons” by Rainer Maria Rilke, and “Places Among the Stars” by Stephen Crane. The College Singers perform “Piccolomini Mass” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
 
 Sorenson has been directing the Chorale & College Singers since 1978. He performs regularly with the Arizona Opera Company and has prepared choruses professionally for the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and the Arizona Opera Company.  
 
The PCC Chorale & College Singers concert is open to the public. Tickets are available at the Center for the Arts box office, located on West Campus at 2202 West Anklam Road, Tucson, (just west of downtown and I-10 on St. Mary’s Road which turns into Anklam Road). Box office hours are Tuesday-Friday, noon-5 p.m. and one hour prior to performance.
