Audition Technique I

Script Breakdown

This is the foundation course for learning the important building blocks to great performance.  You’ll learn how to break down the script, how to analyze the character, how to play him/her, and most importantly how to mark the script in order to give a really great audition.  Throughout the course, you’ll have two or three auditions, and you’ll be given lots of information and insightful advice about how to handle the important few minutes before each audition.  This course is not just about auditioning - it’s also a great acting class.

For the first time ever, The Studio for Actors is offering a "Taste of Audition Technique."  Here's how it works.  Just come on one Monday night from 6:30-8:00pm for only $40.  This class is normally $45, but for the evening of October 11th, you can attend for $40 for one class only.  Call (520) 881-2363 by October 8th, to sign up.  (Limit one $40 class per person.  This offer is available only to new audition technique students who have not taken this class at The Studio before.)

6 consecutive Monday nights
Start on any Monday (but you must call first to sign up).
$45 per week

Call Anna Risley at (520) 881-2363 for more information or to sign up.

Don't worry if you have to miss one or even two classes during the series of six - we can easily book a make-up session outside of the evening class - The make-up would be a private session scheduled Monday through Saturday at 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 1:00, or 1:30 for $50.  Or you can take the entire course in private sessions at $50 per 1-hour session or $75 per 1½-hour session.

Also being offered:
Comedy Improv
Radio/TV Voiceover Seminar

Each of these classes is taught by Anna Risley at her Studio (The Studio for Actors), located on 6th Street, just off 4th Avenue.  Anna has 30 years of experience in film, television, voiceover, and stage acting.  To check out her resume, please visit , or call her at (520) 881-2363 to sign up.
