Pima Community College Music presents Opera and Musical Theatre Scenes

Tucson, Arizona – Pima Community College performing arts department, under the musical direction of Dean Schoff and stage direction of Anna Schoff, presents a program of fully staged and costumed performances from popular and well-loved operas and musicals. Featured scenes, solos and ensembles will be from the operas “
Manon” by Jules Massenet, “L'Elisir d'Amore” by Gaetano Donizetti, “The Rake's Progress” by Igor Stravinsky, “Macbeth” by Giuseppe Verdi, and “The Tales of Hoffmann” by Jacques Offenbach; and from the musicals “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Company,” “Working,” and “Thoroughly Modern Millie.”

The performance is the culmination of concentrated classroom study of operas, musicals, voice, acting and stagecraft.
 
PCC Opera and Musical Theatre Scenes are open to the public. Tickets are available through the Center for the Arts box office at 520-206-6986.
