Subject: ARIZONA ONSTAGE PRODUCTIONS Terrence McNally's MASTER CLASS

Two weekends only! Get your tickets now. Opening night, Friday January 14th, is already sold out.

At the core is diva Maria Callas, (portrayed by Betty Craig), a glamorous, commanding, larger-than-life, caustic, and surprisingly drop-dead funny pedagogue of a voice master class instructor. Alternately dismayed and impressed by the students who parade before her, she retreats into recollections about the glories of her own life and career. Included in her musings are her younger years as an ugly duckling, her fierce hatred of her rivals, the unforgiving press that savaged her early performances, her triumphs at La Scala and her affair with Aristotle Onassis. It all culminates in a tour de force about sacrifices made in the name of art.  Directed by Kevin Johnson, with Music Direction by Elliott Jones and Dramaturgy by James Reel.

At the Cabaret Space, Temple of Music and Art, 330 S. Scott Ave.

Call 1-800-838-3006 for tickets (no service fee from Brown Paper Tickets) or go to www.arizonaonstage.org.
