Holmes and Watson II

ALL NEW!!!

Tony Eckstat and Drew Kallen are returning to the Comedy Playhouse to reprise their roles as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.  In this ALL NEW show the sleuthing pair take on four different cases adapted from the classic short stories of A. Conan Doyle.  This year's edition includes The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton, The Adventure of the Empty House, The Adventure of the Second Stain and The Adventure of the Final Problem.

In The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton, Sherlock Holmes races against the clock to protect his client against the clutches of an evil blackmailer.

The Adventure of the Empty House finds Holmes and Watson investigating the shooting of a London socialite.  His door was locked, his money still spread on the table, but no one heard a gunshot.

Inspector Lestrade of Scotland Yard, asks Sherlock Holmes for assistance in The Adventure of the Second Stain.  A murder has been committed and it seems the bloodstains on the rug and the bloodstains on the floor don't match up.

In The Adventure of the Final Problem, Sherlock Holmes confronts his archenemy Professor Moriarty with deadly results.

Joining Tony and Drew will be Cristin Phibbs, Sean O'Connell, Paul Hammack, Christian Hustad, Bill Waters and Bruce Bieszki.

Holmes and Watson II runs February 25 to April 10.  Performances are Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30pm and Sunday afternoons at 3:00pm.  Admission is $18.00 with discounts available for seniors and students.

The Big Idea

Continues until February 19 !

Paul Hammack, Denise Blum and Bruce Bieszki are appearing in Clayton Hamilton and A.E. Thomas' clever comic romp The Big Idea.  Clayton Hamilton was a Broadway critic.  He had an idea for a play that drew its humor from breaking theatrical conventions.  He approached the playwright A. E. Thomas and The Big Idea is the result of their collaboration.

Richard Howard, a writer, desperately needs  $ 22,000.  Elaine Foster finds out about his problem and suggests that he write about it.  Richard responds " I can't sell a short story for $ 22,000."  Elaine answers, "No, but you can sell a play for $22,00, so write a play!"  Richard begins to write about his problem.  By the middle of the second act, Richard has written everything the audience has seen in the play.  From that point on, Richard has trouble sorting fact from fantasy, as he searches for "the Big Idea" that will give his story and his life a happy ending.

Come join in the fun as Paul, Denise, Bruce and the rest of the gang at The Comedy Playhouse poke holes in the conventions of playwriting and performing.  Laugh with them as they try to sort out what's real and what's make-believe in The Big Idea!

Also featured in the cast of The Big Idea are Colin Roberts, Sean O'Connell, "Simon", and Rebecca Niesen.

The Big Idea continues through February 19.  Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30pm and Sunday afternoons at 3:00pm.  Admission is $18.00 with discounts available for seniors and students.

Call 260-6442 for reservations.
