Greetings!
Please review the following casting alert and only submit if you are a good fit for this project and are available. Submission directions are below.
We are casting for "Desert Son", a SAG feature length film.
SHOOT LOCATION: Tucson, AZ.
TYPE OF JOB: Feature Film
UNION STATUS: SAG
*Non union performers may submit as well.
PRINCIPAL ROLES:
LILY: Hispanic, 40s. She's Aubrey's mom and has been single for sometime. She's way too tan and obviously on the prowl. This is the kind of woman who manages a tanning salon and does it with pride.
AUBREY'S BOYFRIEND: Hispanic, mid 20s, handsome, working-class, tattooed with muscles, and not too bright. The kind of guy who drives a lifted truck.
TOOTHLESS MAN: Hispanic, 70s, down and out grubby Mexican who sells porno DVDs in the red light district. This is one seedy fella who doesn't miss a chance to make a sale to a 15 -year-old. FLUENT SPANISH SPEAKERS NEEDED.
JESUS: Hispanic, 40s. As jovial as he is scheming. Think Cheech Marin with a hint of Mexican gangster.
AUDITION DATE: We will be holding auditions starting Friday, January 14th and going into next week.
SHOOTING DATES: Begins filming Feb. 9th 2011 and shoots for 2 weeks.
FORMAT OF THE AUDITION
Cold read from the script. Sides will be sent to those selected to audition.
SCRIPT: will be forwarded upon request to those selected to audition.
WARDROBE: Character appropriate, avoid green as our studio has a green screen background.

INSTRUCTION ON HOW TO SUBMIT FOR THIS CASTING:
1. Send an email to submissions@goodfaithcasting.com with the subject line reading "Desert Son":[role}" EX: "Desert Son: Jesus" or "Desert Son: Lily"
2. Attach a current, color, low resolution photograph
3. In the body of the email provide us with your full name, cell phone number, the name of your agent if you have one, your union status, the city in which you live, age if minor and age range if an adult, and your email address. Please state your availability.
CAUTIONS: Submit as early as possible. Not all submissions result in an audition/booking. Please do not call our office to follow up and do not submit multiple submissions for the same job. Do not send us links to other websites. Do not hide your contact info within an attachment. Do not say things like "you already know me" or "I am already in your database" as all submissions that do not follow precise protocol will be deleted and will not be considered for the project. Do not submit if you are not a good match for the project or if you are not available for the either the audition date, callback date, or shoot date(s). Please make sure you read this entire email before asking questions that may already be answered in this alert. If you are signed with one of our "preferred agents", do not submit yourself. Notify your agent of this casting and ask if they would submit you on your behalf. For best results, follow instructions exactly. Please always be concise and courteous in your correspondence.
