Subject: AZ Film Bill Action Alert - Please forward
Friends of Film in Arizona,
Our bill, HB2127, was “held” today in the Senate Commerce Committee by the committee’s Chairman, Senator Al Melvin. Consequently, it wasn’t heard or voted on. We don’t understand yet why he held the bill. He is a co-sponsor and has voted “yes” for it in the past. And in order for the bill to advance, we still need Senator Melvin’s support.
Please email or call Senator Melvin now with a request like this: “We were disappointed in your decision to hold HB2127, the striker for the Multimedia Production tax credit. You have always been a strong supporter of this bill, of tourism and of Arizona’s legendary film industry; we hope, as we pursue other avenues to keep this bill alive, we can count on your support and assistance.“
Senator Al Melvin amelvin@azleg.gov (602) 926-4326
Persistence wears down resistance. If you want the jobs and economic impact that this industry will bring to Arizona, please persist.
Best,
Shelli
