Tucson High Magnet School Performing Arts presents
Arthur Miller’s ALL MY SONS
Directed by Art Almquist
August, 1946. An American suburb. World War II is over. Joe Keller, a machinist, has just welcomed his son Chris home, but his son Larry is MIA. Kate, Joe’s wife, continues to hope for Larry’s return, while Chris, believing his brother is gone, longs to express his love to Larry’s old flame, Ann. And underneath it all burns the reality that someone in Joe’s shop knowingly shipped out defective airplane parts that caused the deaths of 31 pilots – and the wrong man may have been convicted. The shadows of this tragedy bring unbearable tension into the lives of everyone in and surrounding the Keller household – until fear, guilt, and anger can no longer be silenced in an explosive finale.
“All My Sons” is an American classic from Arthur Miller (The Crucible, Death of a Salesman). When it premiered in 1947, it won the Tony awards for best author and best director of a play (Elia Kazan). It also won the New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award.
