Start off 2017 PURRFECTLY! ARTS EXPRESS is super excited to announce a casting call for our upcoming production of CATS the Musical.

CATS the Musical

Take part in the iconic production!

Cathy Simon, Director  — Simone Jolivet-Manuel, Choreographer — Enrique "Hank" Feldman, Music Director

 

Based on the universally popular poetry of T.S. Eliot, CATS tells the story, in song and dance, of the annual gathering of Jellicle cats at which time one special cat is selected to ascend to the Heaviside layer. A true musical theatre phenomenon, CATS opened at London's New London Theatre on May 11, 1981 and ran for a record-setting 21 years. CATS' London success was nearly matched on Broadway where it ran at the Wintergarden Theatre for just over 18 years. 

 

Cats is a dance-heavy show.  Auditions will include a 60-second vocal selection as well as a dance audition.

 Auditions: January 11th or 12th from 6:30 – 9:00 pm

Callbacks: January 13th from 6:30 – 9:30 pm

Rehearsal/Show Schedule

Rehearsals (January 20th – February 25th): Fridays (6:00 – 9:00 pm) and Saturdays (9:00 am – 12:00 pm)

Rehearsals (March 3rd – April 2nd): Fridays (6:00 – 10:00 pm) and Saturdays (9:00 am – 1:00 pm)

Tech Rehearsals: Sun 4/2 (1:00 – 5:00 pm) , Mon 4/3 (6:00 – 10:00 pm), Tues 4/4 (6:00 – 10:00 pm), Wed 4/5 (6:00 – 10:00 pm)

Shows: Thurs 4/6 (School Day Production – tentative), Fri 4/7 (7:00 pm), Sat 4/8 (2:00 and 7:00 pm), Sun 4/9 (7:00 pm)
