"Gaslight Music Hall Kids Camp"
Looking for the perfect gift for the kids that has everything? Why not give the gift that keeps on giving? The gift of after school theatre camp! Don't miss the opportunity to spend that extracurricular after school time and energy to enroll in an extended 8 week musical theatre intensive program at the Gaslight Music Hall. The beautiful concert hall is where our main stage performers practice and perform their skills, acting, and singing and now you can too! This is an amazing, confidence-building program for all levels, and encompasses singing, dancing, acting, auditioning, and most importantly, teamwork.
The Kids Camp is for ages 8-15 and runs every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, January 31- March 30th from 4:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. with students' final performance on April 1st.
This transformative experience is an incredible value at only $485 per child, and tuition includes a daily class snack and drink, a camp T-shirt, a professional DVD of the show and two complimentary tickets for family and friends to see the final performance.
Instructors are Director/Choreographer, Samantha Cormier who recently received her M.F.A in Acting/Performing Arts at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) and holds a B.F.A in Directing/Theatre Production from the U of A. She has performed and directed in theatres in New York, Savannah and at your favorite theatres in town including The Gaslight Theatre and Music Hall, Live Theatre Workshop, Arizona Onstage Productions and Beowulf Alley Theatre. She has also been a theatre instructor for over 10 years instructing at Live Theatre Workshop, Stagedoor Manor in New York and now with Gaslight Music Hall.
We are ecstatic to have Musical Director Lisa Otey, a jazz, blues & boogie woogie piano player/ singer from Tucson, Arizona and is a resident piano player at The Gaslight Theatre. She has won numerous awards, including Entertainer of the Year, Best Local Performing Artist, and Musician of the Year, and has been inducted into the Tucson Music Hall of Fame and the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame. Lisa tours the US and Europe as a solo, with her Desert Divas, She also acts as music director and pianist for local, regional and national theatre productions, and presents workshops at schools around the world.
