Sound recordist required for short film shooting in and around Tucson,
Arizona.
Two Columbia University film school students will be shooting a short film
on location around Tucson for 4 days at the end of May/ beginning of June,
and would like to work with a sound recordist in the area.
The film is about Craig, a guy raised in the desert amongst a nomadic-hell's
angel-hippy-roadie gang, who left as a teenager for a "normal" life in the
city. Fifteen years later he is returning, with reluctance, at the request
of his fiancee, Mina, who wants to meet his estranged father, Zed, the
alcoholic ex-leader of the pack. Treating them to a tour of their old
haunts, Zed gradually reveals Craig's true nature: his history of deceit,
lies and a disturbing pursuit of material success, driving the couple apart
at the same time as leading to the eruption of unsolved family tensions.
Filming is planned to take place on location, mostly around Sonoita- a car
and equipment would be an asset if you have it.
It is most likely to be unpaid (expenses covered); in any case, pay would be
very low. But...we're a fun gang of people to hang out with and passionate
about the project, as well as being good, professional collaborators
(without film school egos!)
Any questions, please feel free to ask.
