Now offering 2007 Spring and Summer Camps and Classes for Kids!


Kids ages 9-14 will learn acting and theatrical design and get a chance to perform on the main stage at Top Hat Theatre Club!


Each class and camp will take place at:

Classes will be taught by two full time staff members and several part time staff members, as well as guest artists specializing in certain areas.

 

Full time staff: (Both experienced, certified child care providers)

 

Alex Greengaard—Educational Director

Alex has been acting in professional productions for the past 11 years. He has been seen in many local performances at Live Theatre Workshop and Top Hat Theatre Club, including Top Hat's current show, An American Millionaire. He is currently the Resident Scenic and Sound Designer for Top Hat. Alex is a recent UA graduate, specializing in English dialects in the Theatre. He also appeared in the national Broadway tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

 

Kristen Wheeler—Artistic Director

Kristen is a recent UA graduate with a degree in Theatre Production. She has been involved in a number of local professional costume design projects at Arizona Repertory Theatre, Top Hat Theatre Club, and Beowulf Alley Theatre. She was the only senior at the University of Arizona to receive two mainstage design projects, as well as the only student hired as a designer for the professional summer production of Broadway Bound.


Class for Young Actors:

Ages 9-14

Six classes, Fridays 4:30-5:30 April 13-May 18, with a dress rehearsal Saturday May 19, and a performance Sunday May 20.

Cost: $85, Only $65 for early enrollment (A $20 discount! So register soon!)

+$10 costume fee, kids get to keep their costumes!!

The young actors will learn theatre and improvisation games, as well as rehearse and perform a play.


Summer Camp:

Ages 9-14 (Kids who will be turning 9 by the end of the summer are welcome to enroll.)

Two weeks, June 18-29, dress rehearsal June 30, Performance June 31, 9 am-4 pm (Early drop off and late pick up available).

Cost: $215, Only $195 for early enrollment (So register soon!)

+$35 costume fee, kids get to keep their costumes!!

The camp will teach all areas of theatre, including acting, as well as directing, costume, set, lighting and sound design. Kids interested in all or just a specific area are encouraged to enroll!

Enrollees are asked to bring their lunch Monday-Thursday, and on Fridays pizza will be provided by the staff. Snacks will also be provided daily.


SPECIAL DISCOUNT!! Only $250 to register for both the class and the camp at once!! That's a $50 discount from the normal price!! (Not including the costume fee)


Please fill out attached registration form and mail to the address on the form. Tuition may either be paid in full with registration, or upon the first day of class/camp. A $25 non-refundable deposit is due with the registration.
