What is the Pima Cultural Plan? A county-wide process that will result in “An Action Plan for Pima County's Cultural Development.” The process, led by Bill Bulick of Creative Planning Inc. and Mt. Auburn Associates, will include regional participation in a cultural inventory, needs assessment, benchmarking and a “strengths and weaknesses, opportunity and threats” analysis. This planning process is designed to identify and build on the region's outstanding cultural, natural and heritage assets.

How is it funded? In 2006 the Tucson Pima Arts Council received a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), matched by the City of Tucson and Pima County.

Who's involved? The NEA grant proposal was submitted in collaboration with the Nature, Culture, and Heritage Alliance of Pima County, a membership alliance comprised of the Executive Directors of our community's major arts, culture, nature, and heritage non-profit organizations. A Cultural Planning Leadership Coalition comprised of government, business, and cultural representatives has been formed to support the process and implementation.
