The Star of St. Ant'ny's a new play by David C.Wilson
What: The Star of St. Ant'ny's, a new play by Grammy Award winner David C.
Wilson is coming to Tucson.
The play take place in the New Orleans French Quarter of the late seventies.
A dreamy, almost nightmarish "film noir" quality pervades the gripping story
of human frailty, hopes, and expectations. David C. Wilson, jazz singer,
composer, director and playwright has returned to Tucson after a successful
career in television, film, live performance, and recording industries in
Hollywood. Besides winning the Grammy for THE DESIDERATA album for Warner
Bros., he was nominated for an Emmy for his work at Universal Studios for an
episode of THE NAME OF THE GAME, won numerous ASCAP awards and the Southern
California Motion Picture Counsel STAR SAPPHIRE HALO AWARD for outstanding
contribution to the entertainment industry. Perhaps the greatest accolade
he has received is from Steven Spielberg who describes David's work as
"miniature art films". He is a graduate of Tucson High School and the
University of Arizona.
