This is a paid gig for key positions and parts. Not union pay...but more than the typical DVD and food (and you'll get those too).

Resistance Cipher Movie Company is recasting for a few roles for our short film, Venting Anger.

Here are the roles we are recasting for:

Tim Sr. 45-55 male-Abusive, alcoholic. A Vietnam vet, but that has little to do with his problems. He's basically just a very very bad person and uses the war as an excuse. Very intense physical and emotional work. Must have short hair cut and should have fit build.

Megan-25-45 Female- Waitress...but the kind of woman that makes everyone's day better. She's the one you’re happy to have on your shift and the one that makes you ask for her section every time you come in. Must be good looking and be comfortable wearing something low cut and slightly revealing (no nudity).

Det. Hernandez- Female or Male-30-40 Partner to Det. Ochoa which has already been cast. Must audition with that actor and have a good chemistry. This role has less lines than any other but more on screen time and close-ups than most, so expressive acting must be applied.

Hostess: 18-25-Good role for first timers...not a lot of lines (like 3) but a good long shot with screen time and a chance to add a lot of character to a small part.

Live Mannequin-18-25 Female- Must be very fit and able to pose in futuristic latex body suit (or something like that). This role shares a nice moment with the main character and has several close-ups.

A couple for the black and white film "within" the film. There is a scene in which the main character goes to a European film festival and sees a couple running nude through a grassy field. I would prefer a mixed race couple but really looking for just the right kind of look. These parts will NOT be sexual, rather over the top art haus type of film...think hippie/summer of love kinda thing.

Unpaid extras for several scenes.

All other roles have been filled. Several rehearsals will be scheduled and actors must come to those off script and ready to work. Some improv is appreciated and will be encouraged.

Crew Positions:

Set Designer (one set is fixed and will be dressed several ways)

Costume Designer

Best Boy Electric

Best Boy Grip

Camera Assist

Boom Op

Location Scout (this is a KEY position, must have experience)

PAs need 3...will get a lot of on set assistant to the director, one to the assistant director (who will be at different locations) and one to the set and costume designers.
