The Multi-Talented "Kids" Hit The Boards

For Their Big Musical Review!!!

This spring Kids Unlimited is sharing with Tucson not just one fabulous music and dance review, but two fantastic shows that are sure to entertain. Our cast will include all performing, dance, voice, musical theatre, and acting improv classes age four through high school.

May 9th and 10th, KU is proud to present their musical extravaganza "Music of America and Across the Universe". As the title suggests, this show encompasses a wide range of mu sic spanning the globe and even wondering into the fantastical. The show opens with the Bollywood stylings of the Academy Award winner, Slum Dog Millionaire. From there the show swiftly moves into a fast paced patriotic medley showcasing the legendary standards of Americana, including classic pieces by the likes of George M. Cohan and Lee Greenwood. Act II revives classic American rock n' roll with a back to the 50's tribute, and then travels across the pond to revisit the British invasion with a nod to the Beatles. And what world wind journey would not be complete without a visit to Oz as experienced through the musical adaption of Gregory McGuire's Wicked.

May 16th, Kids Unlimited presents the various talents of their dance, voice, musical theatre and acting improv students. The KU Studios Spring Recital ranges from the classical ballet to urban hip hop with everything in between.  Dancers proudly execute their choreographed numbers, singers croon their hearts20out. With music from the movies, a piece from the Tran Siberian Orchestra, some Spanish influence, and a liberal dash of fun this performance has something for everyone.

Kids Unlimited is a non-profit organization celebrating 22 years of fulfilling its mission to "Provide a safe stage for Tucson's young performers from ages four to eighteen". Kids Unlimited entertains charitable organizations including retirement and nursing homes in and around Tucson and the Southern Arizona area.
