The Volunteer Center of Southern Arizona and STAR Academic Center are collaborating on a feature-length documentary chronicling the lives of “alternative” students on Tucson’s south side. The producers and directors are veteran videographers whose projects include shorts, music videos, a documentary and the highly publicized and highly successful MLK Day Film Project contest and festival.

We need the help of the community, film students, filmmakers, production companies and anyone who would be willing to donate time, money, support or their story. We are hoping to have at least 2-5 interns work as camera operators, PAs and admin.

We are a 501(c)(3) and all donations are tax deductible.

For further information, questions or to get involved please call Germar Townsend at gtownsend@volunteersoaz.org.
