Well you are in luck, The Gaslight Theatre's Monday Night Concert Series is proud to welcome back for a special ONE NIGHT ONLY engagement, ESSENTIAL SOUL: a Soul, Motown, and R&B VEGAS STYLE Revue!!! On Monday, August 13th at 7pm co-creator's Charlie Hall and Sam Eagon present Essential Soul, featuring a main stage performance by the 10-piece, piping powerhouse soul and funk band, THE SOCIALS with an opening act by THE THOUSANDAIRES; a roots, blues, soul and R&B treasure to the Tucson Community. With the multi talents of select members from Bad News Blues Band, Giant Blue blues band, Tucson Jazz Society, Arizona Blues Hall of Fame, and alumni from The Gaslight Theatre, this is your chance to be moved by some of Tucson's greatest entertainers. This elaborate night of music steeped in tradition and infused with soul is sure to caress your palate with the sounds of Ray Charles' What I'd Say," Aretha Franklin's "Never Loved a Man," Otis Redding's "Try a Little Tenderness" and so many many MANY MORE!!! So grab the kids, the sitter, grandma and your pet Skip, because this is an ESSENTIAL moment that no music SOUL will want to miss!

 

The Original Wildcat Jass Band, comprised of six of the finest musicians in Arizona, offers traditional New Orleans and Chicago jazz, performed in a spirit and style that is true to its musical roots and wildly popular with audiences around the southwest United States. Their energetic performances are sizzling with musical energy and steeped in good humor. These "doctors of jazz" have found the cure for the common blues – it's red hot jazz, and it's contagious!
