UA’s Arizona Repertory Theatre presents How I Learned To Drive by Paula Vogel

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize, Drama Desk Award, and the New York Drama Critics Award for best play, How I Learned to Drive is an ironic, lyrical tale of survival, as L'il Bit takes driving lessons from her Uncle Peck. While learning the rules of the road, Lil' Bit is drawn into something much darker and more complex. The play reflects upon both what Uncle Peck took from her – her innocence – and what he gave her in return – namely, the freedom and independence of being behind the wheel. Vogel's incredible script examines troubling questions in a funny, surprising and devastating way. (Adult themes and content).
