The Santa Cruz Shoestring Players at CPAC is excited to announce auditions for our Fall show:
Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley
Directed by Roberta Konen
Winner of the 1981 Pulitzer Prize for drama and New York Critics' Circle Award for best play, this tragic comedy has made an indelible mark on American theater. The three sisters reunite in Mississippi for a 30th birthday and discover that Meg, the youngest, has shot her husband. Full of black humor and human truths, Crimes of the Heart is a very special play, with great opportunities for actors.
Characters Needed (2 men; 4 women):
The McGrath Sisters: Meg, Babe and Lenny (late 20's, 30's)
Chick: their cousin (late 20's)
Barnett Lloyd: Lawyer defending Meg
Doc Porter: Meg's ex-boyfriend
