Production Description: When a brilliant but obsessive scientist goes to extremes to develop a universal cure-all, he finds himself infected with a bizarre parasite that begins to transform him into a blood thirsty madman. With time running out, he must find a way to stop the monster that is growing within and prevent the rest of the world from being "cured".
This is a "body horror" film, similar in tone to the early works of David Cronenberg (Videodrome, The Fly, Crash). STRANGE BLOOD is directed by acclaimed music video director and photographer Chad Michael Ward and produced by Pearry Teo (Necromentia, Dracula: The Dark Prince, Gene Generation) and Rosie Zwaduk (Finley Wade, HoloDad, Stardust & the Bandit).
Roles Casting:
HENRY: Male, 30-50, Caucasian: Near-sighted (glasses). Genius Intellect, Socially Awkward, Unemotional/mild Asperger’s Syndrome, OCD, Brooding. Obsessed with the singular goal of research, development and creation of a universal vaccine while remaining ignorant of the outside world. Struggles internally with the death of his young son, science is his coping mechanism.
GEMMA: Female, 18-30, any Race: Attractive, physically fit. Awkwardly stylish. Sassy, Independent, Carefree, Foul-Mouthed and with Daddy Issues. Seeks a place for herself in the world and longs for attention, security and comfort--but hides behind a tough girl joker facade.

BEVERLY: Female, 18-30, any Race: Attractive, physically fit. Professional, but not stiff. Beverly is interviewing as an Intern with the scientist and gets flustered when things don’t go well.
PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR: Male, 30-60, any Race. Must look a little “street-hardened”.
GOTH GIRL: Female, 18-25, any Race: Cute, physically fit, and can pull off wearing a corset, short skirt and a pair of fishnet stockings.
BOUNCER: Male, 25-45, any Race: Must look like a stereo-typical bouncer.
Audition Format: Initial Auditions for Henry and Gemma are being conducted as “Video Auditions”, meaning that you will need to record yourself reading provided “sides”, and email the Links back to the Producers. Other roles will be narrowed down by Headshot, Resume and/or Reels.
