Subject: Auditions for Kander & Ebb's CABARET
Winding Road Theater Ensemble will hold open auditions for the roles of Clifford Bradshaw and Fraulein Schneider in their upcoming production of Kander & Ebb’s musical masterpiece CABARET. Rehearsals begin October 13, 2013 and the show runs December 5-22, 2013. Actors are paid a stipend.
Clifford Bradshaw (Male, 20’s-30’s)
American Novelist travelling to Berlin – presented as a closeted Gay Man exploring his sexuality. Speaks with an American accent.
Fraulein Schneider (Female, 50’s-60’s)
A landlady who rents rooms in her large flat. Requiring an ability to deliver lines with a German accent. Comfortable with stage movement and light dance – waltz.
DATE, TIME AND PLACE:
Saturday, August 31 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Cabaret at The Temple Of Music & Art, 330 S. Scott Avenue. Call-backs will take place by invitation on the following Saturday, September from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:
Those intending to audition should bring a current headshot and resume and will be expected to perform a single memorized monologue no more than two minutes in length, as well as 16-32 bars of music to sing acapella (music materials and accompaniment will be provided for those invited to call-backs on the following Saturday).
